Every year EWB Spain publishes the Annual Report of the previous year. In this publication it collects the activities of the organization and information about the stage of the development cooperation projects, as well as the sensitising campaigns. The Annual Report also shows economic data, incomes and outcomes, and lists the collaborators.

One more year we present the annual report of the Catalan Association of Engineers Without Borders (EWB Catalonia). In this document you will find the set of activities we have been working during 2010, as well as testimonies and interviews to some of us in the house.
Despite the economic crisis from EWB Catalonia we have continued working to adopt solutions to social and environmental global crisis, both from South and North. Step by step, we struggle to achieve a fairer and more responsible world.
The 2009 has been a very dynamic year at institutional level. In addition to the internal restoration of the association, the strategic planning of the association for the next five years has been laid out. Consequently, this year we have kept up the same rhythm of activity in the South, though we have promoted considerably the activities in the North, always aiming to reinforce and consolidate the ideological discourse of each area.
Annual Report 2009 (spanish) [.pdf]
The 2008 has been a year of hard work and a year of consolidation of EWB projects both in the South and the North, especially thanks to the work carried out for the group of volunteers that constitute our association, a group of volunteers that are our heart, our soul, the cells that make up the living organism of the EWB…
Friends, this 2007 has been another year of important steps for our association. It has been 15 years since a group of engineering students started with excitement the project of Engineering without Borders that we share nowadays: an association that works to provide impoverished peoples with technological solutions, which understands cooperation as the companion of social changes and the strengthening of the peoples of the South while respecting their singularities.

This year 2006 we have published the book Enginyeria Sense Fronteres. Solucions humanes, no només tecnològiques, a good portrait of the work carried out collectively, about the collective efforts and about our working methods. We understand that cooperation for human development has to apply technological solutions to collective necessities to improve people quality of life and to achieve a communitarian participative process. The cleaning-up systems or the photovoltaic plaques, in short, the technologies, are not to be imposed in the countries of the South…

15 years of shared experiences, network work… a long-distance journey.
Once again, we invite you to discover that in EWB we go a bit further from just putting the technology at the service of human development. We participate in development with our counterparts of the South, the NGOD coordinators of the Education for Development and the civil society, both in the North and South, through political intervention.
Thanks to the 930 volunteers, the 113 hired professionals and the 2.926 members, coordinated in 14 organizations, the EWB is possible. We know that working altogether our message is spread more widely and we have more capacity to achieve a fairer world.

Thanks to the excitement and the motivation of our 2. 756 members, 928 volunteers and 84 hired professionals, during 2008 we have kept working to make possible a fairer, more caring world. Once more we have done it by putting the technology at the service of human development through projects, education, incidence and investigation for the development.
The transforming actions carried out by all and each member of Engineering without Borders with his or her work, support and collaboration has multiplication effects when we joint efforts…

In Engineering without Borders we want to put technology at the service of human development. The technology is not isolated phenomena; it is integrated in a cultural, political, social, economical and environmental environment in which the main characters are not the NGO for the Development but the beneficiary communities. For this reason we work collectively with our partners of the countries of the South defining necessities, analyzing technologies, suggesting solutions and, in short, shearing knowledge and experience to achieve our goals. In 2007 we were present in 12 countries in Africa and Latin America, working in the sector of water, energy, infrastructures, agricultural and livestock development and Technologies of Information and Communication…

More needs to be done, but in EWB we still think that another world is possible. Our work is to put technology at the service of human development, combining our efforts with those people and organizations that share our perspective.
In 2006 we have encouraged and secured our lines of work, both in the South and the North. There are already few EWB offices in countries of the South, which allows us to have a closer contact with our counterparts and a better knowledge about the reality of the people we are working with. In the North, EBW keeps working on a formal basis in Education for the Development as a priority line…
