Education strategy
Engineering Without Borders stands out for its initiative to promote Education for Development within the fields of: education -particularly in engineering schools, awareness-raising, action and volunteering.
EWB promotes specific and cross-sectional training in International Cooperation and Technology for Human Development, with the aim to raise awareness and train future professionals in the social and international dimension of their work.
For a long time, academic training in the field of technology and science has been based on a neutral conception of these disciplines. Education for Development actions aim to alleviate the lack of this social vision of technology and science, to promote the technology for human development and ensure awareness of future professionals in the sectors including infrastructure, planning, industry, new technologies among others. In this way, they can have the tools and skills that enable them to make decisions consistent with the principles of solidarity, development and social ethics.
Education for Development
"Ongoing educational process that favors understanding about economic, political, social and cultural interactions in the North and the South, it also promotes values and attitudes related to solidarity, global justice and calls for action to achieve a sustainable human development" (1)
